Sloppy Jonahs

In a large deep skillet over medium heat brown:
  • 2 1/2 lbs ground beef

Remove beef to bowl and set aside.

Add to the pan and saute about 5 minutes, until soft:
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup each: finely diced carrots, celery, onion

Add and stir 30 seconds, until fragrant:
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

 Add meat back to the pan. Add:
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Stir well and simmer 15 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.
